Press Release on the Tragic Death of a Nepali National in Kuwait

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Government of Nepal is deeply saddened by the tragic death of an innocent Nepali national in an attack in northern Kuwait.

The Ministry unequivocally condemns this indiscriminate attack against civilians.

The Ministry calls upon all parties concerned to engage in dialogue and diplomacy, exercise the utmost restraint and to ensure the safety, security and protection of civilians and civilian infrastructure in accordance with their obligations under international law.

The Ministry further underscores the imperative of full respect for and strict adherence to the Geneva Conventions and applicable rules of international humanitarian law under all circumstances.

The Ministry extends its deepest condolences to the bereaved family of the deceased and reaffirms the Government of Nepal's commitment to providing all necessary assistance, including facilitating the earliest possible repatriation of the mortal remains of the deceased.
