The people and the Government of Nepal congratulate the people and the Government of Union of Myanmar for the successful conclusion of the general elections in Myanmar, which were held on 8 November 2015 with the overwhelming participation of the people of Myanmar. While expressing happiness over this historic democratic exercise, the Government of Nepal believes that the bond of friendship between the peoples and the governments of the two countries based on mutual trust, goodwill and understanding will be further strengthened in the days ahead.
