Press Release issued by Embassy of Nepal, Bangkok on Foreign Minister’s attendance to the Bada Dashain program in Bangkok

Hon’ble Dr. Prakash Sharan Mahat, Minister for Foreign Affairs attended a greeting exchange programme on the occasion of Bada Dashain organized by the Embassy of Nepal in Bangkok, in coordination with Nepal Airlines, Asian Institute of Technology (AIT) – Nepali Society, Non-Resident Nepali Association (NRNA) Thailand and Thai Nepali Association (TNA), Bangkok held in AIT, Bangkok today on 8 October 2016.

While welcoming the participants, H.E. Dr. Khaga Nath Adhikari, Ambassador of Nepal to the Kingdom of Thailand extended best wishes to all the Nepalis on the occasion of Bada Dashain and thanked all the coordinators of the program.

Speaking on the occasion, Hon’ble Dr. Mahat extended best wishes to all the Nepalis on the occasion of Bada Dashain and urged all Nepalis present there to preserve Nepali language, culture and identity. He also urged the audience to make contributions for the economic development and prosperity of Nepal. He highlighted the salient features of the Constitution of Nepal that was promulgated on 20 September 2015 and mentioned the challenges in its implementation.

Earlier, on 7 October 2016, Hon’ble Dr. Mahat reached Bangkok leading the Nepali delegation to 2nd Asia Cooperation Dialogue (ACD) Summit. He was welcomed by the Advisor of Foreign Minister of Thailand at Subarnabhumi International Airport in Bangkok.
