Passport Information
Diplomatic Passports
Diplomatic Passports are issued to the following persons for their official visits abroad with specific period of validity. The validity can be extended.
- Her Majesty the Queen, His Royal Highness the Crown Prince, Her Royal Highness the Crown Princess, His Royal Highness the Navayubaraja, Her Royal Highness Princess, and other members of the Royal Family.
- Members of the entourage of the visit abroad of His Majesty the King, Her Majesty the Queen, His Royal Highness the Crown Prince, Her Royal Highness the Crown Princess, and His Royal Highness the Navayubaraja.
- Prime Minister, Chief Justice, Speaker of the House of Representatives, Chairperson of the National Assembly, Chairperson of the Raj Parishad Standing Committee, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister, Leader of the Main Opposition party in the House of Representatives, Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Deputy Chair-Person of the National Assembly, State Minister, Member of Raj Parishad Standing Committee, Vice-Chairperson of the National Planning Commission, Justices of the Supreme Court, Assistant Minister, Members of the House of Representatives and National Assembly, Chief of the Army Staff, Members of the National Planning Commission, Chief Commissioner of the Commission on Investigation of the Abuse of Authority, Auditor General, Chairperson of the Public Service Commission, Chief Election Commission, Attorney General, Bada Guruju, Governor of Nepal Rastra Bank, Commissioner of the Commission on Investigation of the Abuse of Authority, Members of Public Service Commission and Commissioners of Election Commission.
- Special class officers of the Royal Palace Service, Nepal Civil Service, Royal Nepalese Army, Nepal Police and Armed Police.
- Gazzatted officers belonging to Diplomatic Group of Nepal Administrative Service.
- Members of entourage of the official visit of the Prime Minister.
- Members of the delegation attending the General Assembly/Special Assembly of the United Nations and its Specialized Agencies, ADB, SAARC Summit, SAARC Ministerial Meeting and other International and Regional Summit.
- Royal Nepalese Ambassador, Permanent Representative of the Kingdom of Nepal to the UN, Head of the Mission and his/her dependent family members, officials assigned to the Royal Nepalese Mission and his/her family members.
- Persons representing His Majesty's Government on an Assignment to a Special Mission.
Application Procedure: Two copies of application form are required for Diplomatic Passports.
Diplomatic passports are exempted from fees.
