Nepal-Guyana Relations

Nepal and the Cooperative Republic of Guyana established diplomatic relations on June 22, 1994 at non-resident Ambassadorial level. Bilateral relations between the two countries have always been cordial since the establishment of diplomatic relations. The Ambassador of Nepal to the United States of America is concurrently accredited to Guyana. Similarly, Ambassador of the Cooperative Republic of Guyana to India is concurrently accredited to Nepal.

There have been interactions between the two countries in the United Nations, international forums and diplomatic parleys. As least developed countries both Guyana and Nepal share similar views on many international issues. No official visits have so far been taken place between two countries.

Trade between Nepal and Guyana is non-existent. However, there exists ample scope of promoting trade relations.
