Nepal-Bolivia Relations
Nepal and Bolivia established their diplomatic relations on 21 May 1987. The bilateral relations between Nepal and Bolivia are based on mutual friendship, trust and goodwill. The Royal Nepalese Ambassador and Permanent Representative to the United Nations is concurrently accredited to the Republic of Bolivia. Similarly, the Ambassador of Bolivia to the Russian Federation resident in Moscow is accredited to Nepal.
As a least developed and land locked country, Bolivia and Nepal share similar concerns in the international forums. There have been contacts between the two countries in the UN and other international organisations. There are no such official visits to and from Nepal.
Trade and economic relations:
The trade and economic relations between the two countries is almost non-existent. According to the trade statistic of Trade Promotion Centre, a minimal amount of export from Nepal had taken place in 2000/2001. In the year 2002/2003, Nepal had imported commodities from Bolivia worth 3,263,261 Nepalese Rupees. In 2003/2004 a nominal figure of import from Bolivia has also been recorded.
